Don't Privatize the Pennsylvania Lottery

Our state lottery provides millions of dollars to help senior citizens across the state.

The lottery also provides good paying, quality jobs to many Pennsylvanians.

Handing the keys to the lottery over to a British firm will hurt our economy and send more profits overseas, instead of keeping them here in Pennsylvania.

Please do not privatize the lottery.

Why is this important?

On Friday, January 11th, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett announced plans to sign a contract with a foreign company to privatize the state's lottery.

The current lottery, ran by the State of Pennsylvania, gives its profits to programs to help seniors. But under the new plan, a British company would be in charge of the operation and the money it generates.

Tell Governor Corbett not to sell out our seniors.
