Help New York City Bed and Breakfasts Stay Open for Business

I support StayNYC and the right for New York City Bed and Breakfasts to stay open for business.

Established Bed & Breakfasts (B&B’s) within NYC have been made unintended targets for closure due to state law Ch. 225 of 2010, which prohibits stays of less than 30 days in all Class A buildings. The State law only affects the 5 boroughs of New York City.

B&B’s are now subject to inspections by the Mayor's Office of Special Enforcement Task Force. As a result, several legitimate, hotel and sales tax compliant B&B's have closed.

StayNYC is advocating for an exemption to the law for a specific class of small facilities operators in New York City.

The warmth, comfort and personalized service of B&B’s can be found in virtually every corner of the globe. With a record 50 million visitors per year, New York City needs to offer that option as well.

Why is this important?

New York City Bed and Breakfasts are in danger of closing! Please support StayNYC, (Short Term Alternatives for You NYC) a non-profit trade association of B&B owners, and the opportunity to choose legal short-term accommodations in New York City.
