I Support the Amory Street Redevelopment

Amory Street Partners includes Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), The Community Builders (TCB), and Urban Edge, non-profit organizations with more than a 40-year track record in affordable housing and community development.

Amory Street Partners have been designated by the Boston Housing Authority to improve the existing 200 public housing units in the building at 125 Amory Street, to ensure long term affordability without displacement.

As part of this designation, Amory Street Partners will introduce new development, parking, roadways, and open space on the site, including approximately 353 new units of mixed income rental housing. Amory Street Partners currently is seeking Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) approval for this new development.

All three partner organizations are outstanding community assets that create and preserve affordable housing in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods, and I encourage BPDA and other City agencies to approve the project.

Why is this important?

Amory Street Partners is seeking community support for its Article 80 filing towards the redevelopment of 125 Amory Street.

Demonstrating support from neighbors and business owners is an important step in the Boston Planning and Development Agency ’s Article 80 approval process.
