Why is this important?
We went without insurance for ten years and it was financially devastating when my wife and I got injured.
ACA did not go far enough as we could not afford it. Medicare saved my mother and father in laws home when she was struck by a car on the sidewalk and he fell down the stairs helping her when she finally came home with broken neck, back, and pelvis.
New York can have Medicare for all if our elected representatives show some guts and sponsor legislation and bills in the State House and Senate and Governor Cuomo signs it into law.
