Non-Structured Recess

Both donations and tax dollars have paid for playground equipment, items used on the play ground and the supervision supplied for our children to play at recess. However at this time Ms. Rowley believes that structured recess (an activity she selects) assigned to the age groups is proper for the time that is suppose to be an outlet for our children. Not every student wants to jump rope, play kick ball, basketball or whatever is the activity assigned. They should have free choice of how to spend their recess time! No two children are the same and we have students that have special needs or handicaps and are concessions being made for those children.

Why is this important?

Let us as parents stand up for our kids and say let them have twenty (20) minutes to be free to be themselves!
