Prevent Repeal of Low-Income Tax Credit in Missouri

Over 100,000 persons could be forced out of their homes if this bill passes into law. Missouri Senate Bill 226, (SB 226), would eliminate necessary subsidies of low-income tax credits for those who desperately need it for housing.

Why is this important?

Approximately 173,000 to 175,000 individuals would lose their subsidized housing if this bill passes into law. Those effected would include, but not be limited to:
1. Elderly poverty level citizens;
2. Persons, of various ages, who have a physical handicap;
3. Persons, of various ages, who are infirm;
4. Persons, of various ages, who have severe, debilitating illnesses;
5. Retirees
6. Veterans
7. Children
Just to name a few.

If this bill passes into law, there will no doubt be other states of the union who will follow suit. Help us stop this miscreant legislation from becoming law.
