Proposed Changes to Medicaid for ABA Services

Victory! The creator of this petition declared the campaign a success. You can still sign the petition to show support.

Changes proposed by ACHA for Medicaid reimbursement for Behavior Therapy services will severely impact several thousand families in Florida. ACHA will do this by reducing rates across the board, but most specifically for the technicians who work side by side with families. ACHA has already severely reduced families access to services, by not allowing new Medicaid providers (RBT's, Lead Analysts) to join the field. If the proposed cuts go
into effect, many agencies will not be able to sustain their employees and will be forced to close their doors. Qualified professionals will either leave or not enter the field, due to the proposed cuts. This severely
impacts families that need the service.

Please help up stand up for clients and practitioners alike by saying no to these cuts. We need to open a dialogue for what ethical changes can be made to further the field.

Why is this important?

The families we serve are at severe risk of losing their services. Historically it has been difficult for individuals that have Medicaid to obtain behavioral therapies. If these changes pass only families that can afford out of pocket services or have private pay insurance will be able to attain these needed services. This severely impacts families that will not be able to attain these much-needed services.
