To: The Alabama State House, The Alabama State Senate, and Governor Kay Ivey

Protect the Future of Alabama's School Children and Education.

We are asking Governor Bentley and the Senate to kill HB159 and HB160, which would allow the Education Trust Fund to be raided and its funding to be given to corporations as incentives. Furthermore, we want education fully funded and for the legislature to stop balancing the budget by taking money out of teacher’s paychecks. It is time to start showing that education is important and that our children’s future is important, and treating the teachers that prepare them for that future with equality and dignity.

Why is this important?

Governor Bentley and the Alabama State Legislature are gambling with the future of Alabama’s school children. We need to send a loud and clear message that tells them to leave the Education Trust Fund alone.
