Put Soil Carbon Sequestration on Agenda for Paris UNFCCC

Soil scientists tell us that 40% of carbon pollution comes from bad agricultural practices, most notably toxic chemicals, plowing, and laying the ground bare. If we practiced global soil regeneration, planting cover crops and nurturing the microbes, worms, and insects in the soil, we could reverse climate change in 10 years by sequestering the carbon in the air back into the soil. Please make sure that soil carbon sequestration is on the agenda for the Paris United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in November.

Why is this important?

Reversing Climate Change is an urgent subject. The soil regeneration solution is elegant, inexpensive, and can be started right away. Generally, politicians don't know much about agriculture, and therefore this solution is not getting the attention it deserves. We need to listen to the growing body of soil scientists who are advocating for soil carbon sequestration as the best way to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
We are ALL personally affected by climate change. The deadline for this petition is November 30, 2015.
