Refuse to take money from NRA and start drafting or cosponsoring common-sense gun control legislation, at least banning assault weapons.
Why is this important?
I'm heartbroken and outraged about the school shooting in Parkland, FL. Why can't Congress get it together to pass common-sense gun legislation? For example, assault rifles such as the one used in the shooting today should be outlawed. Refusing to accept donations from the NRA would be a first step in this direction.
