We ask that Congress enact legislation FEMA to rollback Disaster Reservist Program and FEMA Qualification System, reinstates the FEMA Disaster Employee Program, and makes no further changes to the Disaster Assistance Employee program without Congressional approval.
Why is this important?
Repeal the FEMA Disaster Reservist Program implementations and assosciated FEMA Qualification System. Currently, through Implementation of the above two programs, FEMA is losing an average of seven employees per day -- a number that will severely hamper future response efforts to national disasters.
