Repeal the Authorization for Use of Military Force
Please support the amendment to repeal of the post 9/11 Authorization of the Use of Military Force which has been added to the Department of Defense Appropriations Bill. We have had endless and expanding wars since the passage of this measure, making us and the world increasingly insecure, bankrupting our treasury, and destroying people, countries, and the environment.
Why is this important?
We fly drones over seven predominately Muslim countries, killing many civilians who are no threat to us while talk of Muslim terrorists is all over the news. To me this is the most risky thing going on in the world. It breaks my heart that the majority of my taxes go to war and the military.
