Safer drones, cheaper delivery

We want legislation to launch the implementation of Drone Tracks, which can result in safer drone flights and cheaper delivery.

Why is this important?

As the popularity of online shopping increases so has the cost and complexity of delivery. As such, many companies in the shipping industry have turned to drones for deliveries. However, current delivery drones lack an infrastructure in which to ensure safety, organization, cost, and distance. The Drone Tracks infrastructure will solve these problems, but needs the help of the government in order to be implemented.

Current facts:
- There will be an increasing number of delivery drones flying in the sky. As they are now, they are ill equipped to handle large distances and malfunctions.
- United States Postal Service (USPS) has a budget deficit with no planned solution
- Drones have been used in terrorist attacks, such as the attack on the Venezuelan President Maduro.

Main Advantages of the Drone Tracks Infrastructure:
- Safety:
---Drones cannot disengage from the rail unless authorized. This eliminates hazards from malfunctioning drones and low-battery drones.
--- Security drones on the tracks can have 24/7 moving-camera surveillance for locations that need to be secured, such as the White House and Pentagon.
--- Near secured locations, unauthorized drones can be easily identified and then taken down.
- Organization:
--- Predictable and consistent traffic patterns for drones
--- Tracks facilitate traffic flow
- Privacy:
--- Sensors will replace cameras on delivery drones so no video is ever captured and shared
--- Security drones that have cameras will be controlled by government agencies
- Environmental Impact:
--- Use less cardboard as drones can drop off and pick up reusable boxes
--- Less vehicles on the road
- Distance:
--- Current regulations require drones to be flown in the line-of-sight of their pilot for safety concerns. With the tracks, drones can be flown out of the line-of-sight and for farther distances.
--- Drones are constantly charged as they travel on the tracks allow them to also travel farther.
