Sales tax on feminine hygiene products

Stop unfair and outdated sales tax on feminine hygiene products. These are no longer luxury items, they are essential for private and public health.

Why is this important?

Feminine hygiene products are taxed in many states. Placing a sales tax on feminine hygiene products is not fair or logical. These are not a luxury purchase. If women were unable to purchase these items at the store, they would not have an alternate non-luxury product readily at their disposal. Personally, I would not have any idea how I was supposed to deal with this monthly medical need without purchasing needed hygiene products from the store. I feel this tax is outdated ( @ 100 years outdated ) and is an unfair biased tax placed on only a portion of the population.
