STOP demolition of Hollywood Park 12/2013

STOP the demolition of Historic California landmark Hollywood Park Racetrack and Wildlife sanctuary. Developers plan to tear it down this December! TAKE ACTION NOW!

Why is this important?

Hollywood Park Race Track is set for demolition by developers. Our mission is the preservation of this iconic -- and-- Californian landmark. TAKE ACTION! Horses such as Seabiscuit, Lava Man, Citation & Zenyatta have lived and raced here. Trainers such as Jack Van Berg, Bobby Frankel, Charlie Whittingham, Doug O' Neill and Bobby Baffert train or have trained here. Jockeys like Red Pollard, Pat Day, Chantal Sutherland, Laffit Pincay, Victor Espinoza and Mike Smith have raced here. Bing Crosby, Walt Disney, Samuel Goldwyn are a few of the famous luminaries who contributed to Hollywood Park's history! The Hollywood Park infield lake has a young flock of Flamingos originating from Hialeah Park Race Track, the sole fertile flock in the USA. The original flock (12 birds) imported from Cuba in the 60's has increased to nearly 500 including some of the original breeding stock. If we preserve the habitat in Hollywood Park, San Diego Zoo experts predict that this flock could increase to 4-500 birds by 2070. Your signature and comment could help preserve Hollywood Park by listing it on the National Trust's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places in USA for future generations to enjoy.
