Stop Suddenlink internet usage cap and charges

Recently, it has come to my attention that the local Parkersburg, West Virgina branch of the cable company, Suddenlink Communications, has applied an internet usage cap that is based on the amount of meg speed you are currently purchasing, a feature which did not previously exist. I have found that other companies do apply a cap, but also have seen where they either do not have an enforced method for overage or are very open about the charges. Suddenlink, however, has chosen NOT to inform their customers in open fashion, but rather put this new policy in place and more or less surprise its customers. I also live in an area where Suddenlink has monopolized the industry, thus making it impossible for customers to find an alternative company. They also advertise openly that the internet usage is unlimited, thus implying there would never be a cap on the assumed and previous "unlimited" use and access. They have attached a $10 fee per 50 gigs of overage, which is clearly targeted those who have found legal and more efficient means of entertainment (Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazom Prime, etc) rather than use of Suddenlink's cable services. There is a serious issue with the quality of their service, and an even bigger issue with their consistency of service. There is no reason why they needed to change policy or why they needed to do so without properly alerting their customers to the changes. Personal connections have been suspended due the changes, again without warning. These acts are unnecessary and the manor in which they have done so is manipulative and deceiving. Suddenlink Communications has grown a reputation of being a hard company to work with and inconsistent in all aspects of its service. They clam to be a family oriented service, but the actions they take can surely say otherwise. I believe it's time we take a stand, and rather than allow another "big business" to trample and abuse its consumer, we choose to speak out. If customer satisfaction is truly what Suddenlink Communications is concerned with, then they will see flaw in this policy and in the means in which they put it to action.

Why is this important?

I choose to no longer take a quiet approach to the obvious deceiving and manipulating manor in which Suddenlink Communications conducts its business.
