Stop Voter Suppression in North Carolina

North Carolina must make it easier and not harder to vote. We demand that the cynical practice of closing polling places in Democratic precincts be ended. Early voting has worked and should be restored. We insist North Carolina permit state-issued student IDs to be used as voter identification.

Why is this important?

North Carolina Republicans are taking unprecedented steps to reduce the number of students and minorities taking part in elections. They've cynically closed and consolidated voting sites along racial lines, taking a particular interest in polling places serving historically black colleges.
