This petition is an expression to one another and to the world that we, the people of the State of Ohio, support the Paris Agreement and remain committed to mitigating climate change.
Why is this important?
Climate change is a verified and inarguable scientific fact. It is also an existential threat not just to the United States, but to our planet and all its inhabitants. This is an issue which should be supported regardless of party affiliation, because if climate change continues unabated, we are looking at considerable deleterious lifestyle changes for a considerable portion of the population at minimum, and at maximum, a nightmare of global proportions
