Tell Congress: #ProtectOurDemocracy and investigate Russian hacking

Tell your Members of Congress to fight for H.R. 356, the Protecting Our Democracy Act, which calls for the establishment of an independent, bipartisan commission to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections.

Why is this important?

On Friday, January 6, the U.S. intelligence community issued a report that Russian intelligence agencies interfered in the 2016 election. This should send a chill down the spines of all Americans -- Democrat, Republican, or Independent. It demands an an independent bipartisan inquiry.

Led by Representatives Eric Swalwell and Elijah Cummings, and supported by every single House Democrat, H.R. 356, the Protecting Our Democracy Act, would establish an independent, bipartisan-appointed commission to investigate what happened and how we can secure future elections.

The commission would:
*get to the bottom of Russia’s interference in the 2016 elections so that Americans understand what really happened;
*ensure a depoliticized, comprehensive investigation; and,
*work to ensure that this never happens again.

Foreign intervention in free and fair elections is unacceptable and a serious threat to our nation. Investigating what happened is an essential effort to safeguard our democracy and restore voter confidence ahead of the 2018 and 2020 elections – but we need your help to ensure every Member of Congress supports this solution to address Russian hacking.
