Trump: Meet with Mueller!

We, the American people, demand that you meet with special counsel Robert Mueller and answer his questions about possible conspiracy with the Russian government to influence the 2016 presidential election and obstruction of justice to cover it up. It’s imperative that federal investigators have all the information they need to get to the truth.

Why is this important?

Donald Trump meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland — in a one-on-one, closed door meeting with no aides present and no record of what was said.

Putin’s government attacked our democracy by interfering in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump become president. This has been verified by all U.S. intelligence agencies, the Department of Justice and most recently by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee.

The FBI was investigating if Trump’s campaign had conspired with the Russian government to influence the election. Trump fired FBI Director James Comey in May 2017. Shortly thereafter, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced an investigation to be conducted by the Department of Justice to continue this investigation and named Robert Mueller as the special counsel to prosecute the case. Mueller, who was the former Director of the FBI and lifelong Republican, was praised by many Republicans as a reputable investigator.

Since then Mueller has indicted 35 people for over 100 criminal charges. Three of Trump’s top people have pleaded guilty; Trump’s Deputy Campaign Manager Rick Gates, campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos, and his former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Trump’s Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort has also been indicted and was sent to jail for tampering with witnesses. On Friday, Mueller indicted 12 Russian military intelligence officers for interfering in the election.

As the investigation has gotten closer to Trump and his family, Trump has been attacking the investigation and threatening to fire special prosecutor Robert Mueller and his boss Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Mueller has asked Trump for an in person meeting to answer his questions regarding the investigation and possible obstruction of justice. Trump publicly stated he would meet with Mueller and has since said he would not. It is imperative that Trump meet with Mueller and answer his questions.
