US Ban on Assault Weapons

The school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland is just another example of why assault weapons do not belong in public hands. It was the 18th school shooting in 2018.

Our families' right to be free from fear of being gunned down by an assault weapon outweighs the nonsensical "right" to own assault weapons. There is no reason to defend ownership of these military-grade weapons in civilian life.

Please sign my petition calling for a ban on assault and automatic weapons.

Why is this important?

The recent shooting in nearby Broward County, Florida is just another example of why assault weapons do not belong in public hands. Rapid-fire weapons do not belong in civilian hands.

The founders did not have them, and the right to bear arms is not threatened by banning assault and rapid-fire weapons.

We should not allow these weapons to be accessible to the public and the time has come to put an end to this ludicrous "freedom" that reduces the freedoms of the innocent in this country.

Stand up for a safer USA—one without easy access to weapons of mass casualty.
